What is IPA?
IPA is a global coordinator of institutions and individuals engaged in research, education, and the propagation of knowledge of palaeontology. Its scope embraces all aspects of paleobiology, as well as geological, environmental and climatic applications of palaeontological data, from all geological time periods. Above all, IPA seeks to encourage the integration and synthesis of all palaeontological knowledge.
IPA welcomes both Corporate and Individual Members. National or regional organizations of palaeontologists and groups dedicated to study of palaeontology’s subsidiary disciplines may join IPA as Corporate Members. Individual members of IPA’s Corporate Member organizations are automatically recognized as Affiliated Individual Members of IPA, Individuals seriously engaged in any way in palaeontology may join directly as Individual Members of IPA.
